It’s the latest evolution of an iconic effect that Eventide first introduced in the 1970s — and the lineage shows. This isn’t your typical “detune and forget” micropitch plugin. It’s a fully controllable stereo effect engine with real depth.

At its core, MicroPitch runs two independent pitch-shifted voices. One voice shifts from unison down to -50 cents, the other shifts from unison up to +50 cents, and each voice can have up to 2 seconds of delay behind it. That combination alone opens up a wide palette — from classic, tight stereo spreading to lush chorus-style thickening and rhythmic slapback throws.

What makes this plugin stand out against simpler alternatives is its expanded control set. You get a TONE control for high/low filtering of the shifted voices to sit them naturally in your mix, a PITCH MIX knob to balance the wet blend between the two shifted voices, MOD DEPTH and RATE for adding a chorusing shimmer to each voice, and a FEEDBACK control that enables pitch dive and rise effects. Tempo sync means you can lock those delays to your DAW grid for production-ready, synchronized special effects.

Eventide also includes the RIBBON — a performance macro that lets you sweep the plugin between two completely different saved states in real time. You could set one end as a gentle stereo widener and the other end as a long delay throw, then sweep between them live during a mix or performance. For desktop users, the RIBBON can be mapped to a MIDI keyboard’s mod wheel for hands-on tactile control.

A collection of presets based on iconic historical uses of the MicroPitch effect are included to get you started quickly.

MicroPitch traces its heritage directly to Eventide’s H910 Harmonizer® from the early 1970s — the world’s first commercial digital audio effects unit. That original pitch character, refined through the H949 and H3000 generations, lives on in this plugin.
