Murst Instruments develop tools that are inspiring and immediate, blending acoustic and electronic sound sources with a flexible, intuitive approach. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tim Hecker, Curtis Roads, Max Richter, Ben Salisbury, and Amon Tobin, this bundle gives you full access to Murst’s complete instrument range: Stone, Glass, and Legato Cello, all packaged in one convenient download.
Glass delivers undulating, evolving looped textures across four distinct instruments—Swell, Tape, Resonance, and Glitch—each built from 16 selectable sound sources including analogue basses, studio-recorded strings, woodwinds, modular synths, and granular-processed design elements. With 40 preset snapshots, layered keyboard playback across all four banks, and front-panel controls for volume, envelopes, and FX sends, you can quickly shape atmospheric beds or intricate rhythmic patterns without deep menu diving.
Stone targets film, media, and theatre composers with 16 texture-focused instruments grouped into four layered banks: Oscillate (deep analogue basses processed through germanium fuzz), Pivot (sustained and granular cello phrases), Fluctuate (hammered and plucked sounds processed on Uher tape), and Grain (quirky noise samples for added depth). Twenty preset snapshots, split-keyboard zoning, and one-click access to modulation controls let you experiment rapidly while maintaining precise sonic character.
Legato Cello provides a monophonic, expressive solo cello voice with two octaves of legato sustains, three velocity layers, and scripted vibrato for natural articulation. Recorded with both close and room microphones, it captures authentic bow texture and body resonance. Like its siblings, it includes front-panel controls for volume, envelopes, and FX sends, plus quick-access buttons for filter modulation—ideal for adding emotional depth to cues without complex scripting.
